44 年報 Annual Report 2022-23 主席獻辭 Chairman’s Message Going forward, HKPC will uphold the spirit of pursuing innovation and excellence, and will remain steadfast in our promise to deliver values to SMEs, and make their dreams come true, so that the “Made in Hong Kong” brand retains its shine and brightness. Good infrastructure is a prerequisite for suppor ting industrial development. The HKSAR Government will soon commence the development and construction of the International Innovation and Technology New City in the Northern Metropolis. It will provide 300 hectares of land in the Lok Ma Chau Loop and San Tin to support the development of Hong Kong’s new industrialisation efforts and related industries. HKPC will, as always, fully cooperate with the HKSAR Government in its implementation of measures for I&T development to promote new industrialisation in Hong Kong and create a vibrant atmosphere for I&T development in the community, so that more R&D outputs can be realised commercially and to accelerate the development of Hong Kong into an international I&T centre. I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to the HKSAR Government, all Council members, industry companions and colleagues from various divisions of HKPC for their assurance and support. I would also like to express gratitude towards the former Chairman, Mr Willy Lin, for his outstanding leadership over the past six years. HKPC will continue to move forward our new industrialisation efforts and act as the catalyst for Hong Kong enterprises to deliver added-values with advanced technologies and innovative services. HKPC will further strengthen co-operation with our industry partners and advance towards the bright future that new industrialisation will bring.
