Job Duties:

  • Lead the facility management, safety and security and administration team to manage operation and provision of services for HKPC building
  • Plan, execute and monitor the office relocation and renovation work, the improvement work plans for repair and maintenance of the building facilities and systems
  • Supervise and monitor the maintenance services, functions of building facilities, office administration work and service provided by contractors, operators and vendors to enhance the quality, timeliness and effectiveness of the services
  • Enhance the safety and security standard of the operation and systems in the building
  • Plan and deliver the implementation of occupational safety, health and environmental initiatives in compliance with relevant regulations
  • Manage emergency incidents, resolve the incident in timely and effective manner
  • Oversee the technical documentation and tender specification process to implement just-in-time procurement
  • Manage the annual budget for capital and operating expenses, and liaise with internal customers and stakeholders
  • Recommend and drive continuous improvements
  • Handle ad hoc projects and assignments

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in Building Services, Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering or equivalent with minimum 8 years’ solid experience at managerial level
  • Qualification in Chartered Engineer and Occupational Health and Safety would be an advantage
  • Solid experience in the areas of facility management and health and safety of large commercial development, institution or public organization required
  • Experience in handling large renovation projects
  • Good knowledge of commercial building safety guidelines and regulations and prevailing statutory requirement as well as best practice in Occupational Safety & Health
  • Strong planning and implementation skills, with an eye on details
  • Excellent project and people management capabilities
  • Able to manage multi-projects and work under tight time frame
  • Excellent communication, influencing and problem solving skills
  • Proactive, diplomatic and strategic mind-set with a hands-on approach
  • Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua

A competitive salary package commensurate with academic qualifications and experience will be offered. The successful candidates will be employed on a fixed-term contract basis, which is renewable subject to appointee’s performance and the Council’s development needs.
